About us

Our Captain: David “Creek” Nash

After 26 years navigating the high seas and also high above the clouds (and surviving every port call) in the U.S. Navy, Pirate Captain David Nash hung up his dress whites and traded in the aircraft for a canoe. Now, you’ll find him charting the winding bends of Econfina Creek in Florida’s Panhandle, portable BBQ in tow, flipping burgers on muddy creek banks like the true pirate he is. Legend has it he once grilled the perfect steak while paddling downstream—simultaneously. (We’re still not sure how he didn’t set his oar on fire.)

The Spark of Creek Pirate

One sunny afternoon, between bites of bratwurst and sips of iced tea, David realized: “If I’m having this much fun on the creek, there must be fellow water-lovers out there!” Thus, Creek Pirate was born—a haven for anyone who’d rather be paddling than paddling through emails.

Our Fleet of Waterborne Fun

Because we know not everyone has a creek in their backyard, Captain Nash expanded his empire:

  • Lake Pirate for midnight dock-side movies and wake-boarding misadventures

  • Lagoon Pirate for birdwatching standoffs (lily pad vs. paddle)

  • River Pirate for riffle-jumping thrills and skinny-water chases

  • Ocean Pirate for salt spray and sunset sails

  • Glacier Pirate for those chilly, ice-cracking expeditions

  • Pond Pirate for froggy races and lotus-spotting contests

  • Puddle Pirate (kids only!) for full-tilt splash-offs in yellow rain boots

First Mate & Master of Design: Wynter

Standing proudly beside her swashbuckling husband for 48 years, Wynter Nash wields the real power here: a mouse and a computer. As Creek Pirate’s graphic designer, she crafts every logo, banner, and button—making sure each Pirate branch looks as inviting (and slightly roguish) as David’s best dad-joke.
